Eleven Football League managers have been sacked so far this season, six in October alone, with three more leaving their clubs to fill these vacancies. The first of the season was Bryan Gunn’s sacking after a 7-1 home loss at home to Colchester. Aaron Hunt - Is not English. Remains not English.

The English papers have all picked up on the story that Fabio Capello has made overtures towards Werder Bremen forward Aaron Hunt to play for England. Hunt, German-born with an English mother, is a versatile attacker with five goals in eleven games in Bundesliga this season. To his credit, he has ruled out any switch, eager to nail down a place in the German squad. However, my question would be, why do they want him? Read the rest of this entry »
